Remember the Alamo Flag!
The Alamo flag is based on the Mexican flag, lacking the central logo and replacing it with the year (1824) of the original constitution of Mexico was drafted.
The flag was chosen by Texans to declare independence from Mexico by refusing to swear allegiance to the new dictator of Santa Ana and reminding them of what they had originally agreed to which lead to the separation. The battle of the Alamo is where Colonel Travis and his 182 Texan fighters fended off the Santa Ana's Army for 11 days before being captured and killed.
The flag was flown in the next war, where angered Texans rallied under the battle cry "Remember the Alamo" and with a destructive blow winning their freedom from Mexico and a place in history.
